The NEVERENDING Fashion For Clueless Planners (And Others) Thread

*nrschmid*, in this post (http://www.cyburbia.org/forums/showpost.php?p=586705&postcount=48), makes the claim that planners may need some help when it comes to fashion and appearance. I think he's got a point. Thus, this thread. How can planners look good on the limited incomes we get? What about workplaces where planners find they need to underdress to impress; e.g. the rural Rocky Mountain west?

I also fall into the khakis-and-polos trap. I hear many claim that khaki pants are out, but in a workplace where a suit or even slacks is overdoing it, What's the alternative? Has anyone had any experience with Bills Khakis? (http://www.billskhakis.com/) There's a trad men's clothier in Buffalo (http://shop.oconnellsclothing.com/) that sells them, and I might get a pair or two the next time I'm back up there.
